Swap, swap, swap: Our first Sustainable Shop!
Updated: Dec 1, 2019
Need to de-clutter your wardrobe, get some stylist advice and bag a new festive outfit all for the price of a donation to charity? Then step right up...
On Sunday 8th December, Fashion & Fairytale will be hosting a Sustainable Swap Shop at the new and fabulous Art Cohort. This FREE event is the chance for you to sprinkle some festive cheer over your wardrobe without feeding the fast fashion monster or starving your pre-Christmas bank balance.
In exchange for a donation to our partner charity Mentoring Plus, in the week of their Big Give, and 3-10 items of preloved, quality clothing from your wardrobe, you can swap up in the company of like minded people who love sustainable fashion... Oh, and by the way our resident sustainable fashion expert (Style Editor of Circus Magazine & Personal & Commercial Stylist) Rachel P Blake will be on hand to provide excellent styling tips and outfit advice.
The whole point of our event is to make sustainable fashion accessible to all, so rather than charging an entry fee, we'll provide the glasses, if you bring your own bottle of alcoholic or non alcoholic drink. Cheers!
Tickets are limited and thanks to some generous and enthusiastic social media shares, spaces are booking fast, so if you haven't done so already, get in touch and book your FREE place today!
So how does the Swap Shop work? It's super simple:
Each swapper selects 3-10 good quality preloved items of clothing and/or accessories from their wardrobe.
Deliver items to the Art Cohort, 13 Chelsea Road, Bath, BA1 3DU by 4pm on Sunday 8th December so we can set up shop, OR drop off your clothes with a Fashion & Fairytale team member at an earlier date or time by contacting Anne or Katy here.
For each item of clothing you contribute to the swap, you will receive a token which you can exchange for a 'new' item of clothing.
Arrive at 6 pm for drinks at the Art Cohort exhibition space. PLEASE BRING A BOTTLE (there is an off-licence over the road if you forget) and a suggested contribution of £5 to donate to Mentoring Plus.
